I am a designer with 10+ years of experience in graphic design and marketing. I can take an idea, turn it into a concept, present to the client, and take the project all the way to the end to the prepress part of a job.
I have experience in marketing. As a small business owner, I am continually updating websites, and social media profiles to keep up with the times, and grow my business. As a photographer, I have over 10 years of experience. I started out working for a small business in Mankato, MN as their designer/second photographer. From there, I went on to be my Army National Guard unit photographer, including on my deployment to Kuwait. Presently, I run my own small part-time photography business.
I love that I can incorporate my own photography into my design work. As a military veteran, I have an abundance of leadership and organization skills. I have learned how to prioritize and keep things moving forward. I can handle pressure and motivate my peers to keep morale up.
In 2013 I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a BFA in Graphic Design. I then started working at a small print shop in Madelia, MN - Preferred Printing Company. I learned everything on how to improve my design style as well as how printing presses work, bindery options and materials for different types of printing.
I recently joined the graphics team at Minnesota State Mankato - there hasn't been a dull day yet! I'm looking forward to expanding my skills and creating some awesome things along the way!
